The money was deposited with Rev.Thos Johnson at 6 percent
interest.

In 1868, of the amount pledged for the endowment fund, $1,825.00 was paid up in cash,
$350.00 was settled by note or mortgage and $200.00 was not yet settled The monies were
invested in the hands of Mess'rs Prothingham and Workman at Montreal at 6% interest.

In 1877, Rev. Robinson received $200.00 from the Treasurer of the Synod, being the bonus
toward the Endowment Fund promised by the late Church Society.

At the time of Rev. Robinson's retirement from Rougemont, the balance in the fund was
$2,962.00.

From the 1989 Proceedings of the 130th Annual Synod of the Diocese of Montreal, the
Endowment Fund for the Parish is listed at $17,041 and the Endowment Fund for the Cemetery
shows an amount of $13,145. |
